My name is Ylan. I was born and raised in the 14th district of Marseille, a place that taught me, early and concretely, how systems actually treat people, and why it is worth learning to change them or to build your own.
My family's roots are in Kabylie in North Africa, and that other geography matters to me too, with its mountains, its language that survived mostly by stubbornness, and its long tradition of not asking anyone for permission.
These days I live in Paris, where I study mathematics and build software at 42. Mathematics is the closest thing to bedrock I know, and I hope to take it all the way to a PhD. At 42, I run 42 Neurotech, the association I founded around brain-computer interfaces. Around all of that orbit AI, cybersecurity, electronics, robotics, and the political question inside them: who gets to run the machines.
If you are reading this to decide whether to work with me, the projects and the writing are the real CV, since they show what I build and how I think, which is the only information a résumé pretends to contain.
In general, I hope to contribute to a world where people trust what they can build and verify over what they are told, and know better than to trust cops or politicians. A world where skills and loyalty outweigh titles and salaries, and where making your own tools, your own archive and your own life is the normal thing rather than the exception.
